About Me

I was a professional actress before becoming a therapist and spent my childhood competing in tennis tournaments. I love playing the guitar and piano and all of this combined has led to a specialism in performance/presentation anxieties and peak performance states.

I have an MSc in Psychotherapy and my training encompasses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR,) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy (Parts), Mindfulness and Hypnotherapy. I use an integrative approach that is tailored to each individual. I work one to one with clients over 16.

With over 25 years of experience and clients from a variety of backgrounds, I have worked within the NHS as a Psychotherapist and several private clinics, including The Priory Hospital Roehampton.

The most common reasons people consult me are for anxiety disorders, phobias, performance anxiety and trauma.

When I’m not working my favourite place to unwind and recharge is in Devon with my border collie, Scout.

  • "I did it!! Sang my first solo tonight. No throat closing, not red, no deafening rush of blood in the ears. Thanks."

    Julia W.

  • "I had chronic pain in my lower spine for 30 years. No treatment of any sort had ever helped even a tiny bit. But after just one session of hypnotherapy with Nicola it was gone. Over a year later, I am still pain free."

    Tim G.

  • "I cannot thank you enough. By being calm and focused, I actually enjoyed the experience of presenting, and had many compliments for my work. Some thought I was a professional!"

    Heather G.

  • From 4 years old until 75, I had a very real fear of dentists. I used to shake and perspire; wet palms and a wet shirt were the orders of the day. It is a great therapy that Nicola offers and what is important…it works."
